We had a large party (13) and no reservation late one evening but Amorelia accommodated us. Everyone loved what they ordered and the service was exceptional. Lovely atmosphere and a great menu. Very highly recommend.
Wow! Amorelia is THE winner! Great service and wonderful venue both of which are overcome by their incredible food and drinks. I had their shrimp Diablo (my pronunciation) and it was the best Mexican dish I have ever had! Everything is made fresh from the natural ingredients, by hand and on the premises. Also, best margarita ever - all natural citrus juices and ingredients, makes for a delightful margarita that is both tasty and smooth!
In the back corner of the At Home anchored shopping center. Near Planet Fitness. Full service, sitdown restaurant. Mostly indoor seating, but a few outdoor covered tables. They're expanding into the space nextdoor, so there'll soon be even more seating. Fast and friendly service! We came for breakfast on a Sunday. I got the breakfast burrito and their cafe de olla (cinnamon and brown sugar coffee). Both were great, but drink was scalding and portion size of burrito wasn't the most generous. Decently priced given today's standards. Enjoyed overall!
Amorelia is one of Costa Mesa's hidden gems. They've got lovely ambiance, lighting, music & decor. The food is incredible, you can taste the love in every bite. The one thing that wasn't great last night was when we order guacamole to start, they asked if we wanted to chips too and then charged us $5 for them. The guacamole does come with chips because they brought us two different kinds of chips in different baskets (one with the Guac and one came with a little dish of salsa. This seemed a little shifty on their part & it's worth being aware of. Otherwise, a beautiful experience here as always.
I was way too excited to dig into dinner and forgot to snap a pic! Had a craving for mole, so I went down a Yelp rabbit hole and ended up choosing Amorelia. My fellow Yelpers, y'all did not disappoint!! The enchiladas poblanos featured such a rich mole sauce, and the rice really highlighted the dish in an unexpected manner. I went on a Saturday night, and the dining room was about half full. Great, romantic ambiance with lively music, and the servers were nothing less than amazing.
